Taylor Swift became famous as a singer and songwriter in early 2001, with stories of love and loss. Swift began to show an interest in the music industry as early as age. Her career progressed rapidly from children's play roles and her first appearance on stage in the presence of thousands. The moment Swift performed The Star-Spangled Banner in front of the Philadelphia 76ers at a game at age 11. She was already writing songs. The next year she began playing guitar.
